Ambassador of the Week

Chauncey!!
The first ambassador of the week is Chauncey! Chauncey is one of the wittiest people I've ever met. His ability to think quick on his feet never fails to amaze me. Whenever I was scheduled an orientation session with Chauncey I knew that the session would run smoothly and also that we would have a great time. I also admire Chauncey's ability to befriend anyone he comes into contact with. Forming connections with people is hard enough on its own, but its especially difficult over a virtual platform, and Chauncey constantly makes people feel connected to him. Chauncey is also one of the most eloquent people I've ever met. He can form clear, concise, sophisticated sentences with the drop of a hat. It is a pleasure to work with Chauncey and I hope to continue establishing a friendship throughout this year.
Stephanie!!
The second ambassador of the week is Stephanie! Stephanie is such a goodhearted person and is always willing to offer her help to anyone who may need it. I remember both of my rehearsals for the student orientation leader position were with Stephanie. We were both so nervous but we communicated privately throughout the process-which really eased my nerves. Whenever the ambassadors (including myself) were trying to create our blogs, there was some confusion on how to set up the site. Not only did Stephanie answer all of our questions-she even sent a video, describing what exactly we had to do. This interaction is just one example of how genuinely kind Stephanie is. P.S. Stephanie makes the best homemade fruit salad ever!
Erin!!
Our next ambassador of the week is Erin! Erin is such a dependable coworker. If Erin says she'll do something, you better believe she will show out and give her 100% effort. Erin was such a fun co-SOL during orientations because she is incredibly helpful, always making sure to ask students if they have question and if they'd like to use her as a knowledge base-especially for any major involving Pre-Health Professions. Erin has exponential information about our various departments on the UCBA campus and is always quick to endorse them. Outside of her professional appearance, Erin is a great friend who I could talk to for hours and never get bored of. Erin is hilarious and has an infectious smile that makes those around her feel more joyful. Most of all, Erin exudes kindness and is incredibly generous. Overall, Erin is simply a great friend that makes me happier every time I see her!
Noah!!
The next ambassador of the week is Noah! Noah is absolutely hilarious and his always cracking jokes during our ambassador meetings. He has a way of delivering his jokes that is even more funny than the actual punchline. When Noah and I worked orientation sessions together, I was laughing the entire time. There was a moment in one of our orientations where the WIFI cutout and the professional staff were trying to transition students into a room to register for classes and the internet connection was so poor that the people talking sounded like robots. I remember Noah and I privately messaging each other but eventually we couldn't even hold back our laugh. Noah has such a contagious smile and laugh that I think he was making me laugh more than the spotty WIFI. Additionally, Noah is incredibly hardworking and it shows through the dedication that he exemplifies to our team and to obtaining his ambassadorship hours. Therefore, I am excited to celebrate Noah as an amazing part of our team. Congrats Noah!
David!!
The next ambassador of the week is David! David makes me laugh so much whenever the ambassadors get together, especially during our meetings. David is incredibly friendly and can make easy conversation with anyone in our group. My favorite memory of David is when he attended one of our ambassadorship meetings but he had to travel back to his house from the university, so he took the call from the bus. It was a hilarious background to see pop up every time he spoke. This instance also highlighted David's dedication for me-even though he had multiple obligations he prioritized the ambassadorship. While I haven't worked any events with David I would absolutely love to as he seems like a great team member. David, congratulations on being ambassador of the week!
Hariph!!
The next ambassador of the week is Hariph! Hariph is an incredibly hard-worker who exudes professionality and kindness in every event for the ambassadorship. Hariph is a model ambassador who goes above and beyond constantly to help the students and prospective students at UC Blue Ash. For example, Hariph always puts the links to our websites, applications, etc. in the chat feature of any of our virtual events. Whenever I work an event with Hariph and professional staff asks for assistance she is the very first to volunteer. Hariph is also one of the first people that I connected with as a student orientation leader. Hariph and I bonded over a common love for One Direction (so obviously she has good taste)! We talked about our favorite songs, albums, and members of the band. This connection meant so much to me because One Direction is a significant part of my life but also it allowed me to recognize that I can make genuine friendships in programs such as the ambassadorship and in the student orientation leader role! Congratulations on being ambassador of the week, Hariph!
Daniel!!
The next ambassador of the week is Daniel! Daniel is exceptional in terms of going the extra mile. Daniel constantly provides links to the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash students to helpful resources without them even asking. Daniel is known to be a great leader and has organized events particularly centered around mental health. I was able to attend Daniel's event and it was a pleasure. Daniel created a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Daniel has also made plans to host two new events regarding TikTok and relationships (so his knowledge spans various areas). Daniel also helped me out recently with a task that I was assigned in the Admissions Office. I needed to compile the contact information of all of the ambassadors and I asked our big group chat if they would send me their information. Daniel understood that obtaining the information would be a struggle so he sent a list that contained the details, which made the job significantly easier. I am happy to work with Daniel but more than anything I'm glad to know Daniel because is truly an amazing friend. Congratulations on being ambassador of the week, Daniel!
Miranda!!
The next ambassador of the week is Miranda! Miranda is my "accountabilibuddy" and is a great partner to have. She makes sure to turn in her blogs each week in a timely fashion and verifies that she has all of the components to the blog before it is submitted. Miranda is a very hard worker and signs up for the majority of the ambassador events that we have. I've also seen Miranda work a campus tour and she serves amazingly as a leader. Miranda started the tour by asking the students and parents what their names were and I think that demonstrated great inclusivity. Miranda and I have also had conversations about our shared interest of Ariana Grande's discography which I was very supportive of. Miranda and I also did a conjoined personal experiences interview for the ambassadorship. We asked each other what our majors were and why we were passionate about them. We shared a few laughs and this interaction became one of my favorite bonding moments between my accountabilibuddy and I. Congratulations on being ambassador of the week, Miranda!
Luis!!
The next ambassador of the week is one of my very best friends, Luis! Luis is one of the easiest people to get along with and in one conversation, he will make you feel like you've known him for years. He is one of the most well-liked people I ever met and I know this because of the overwhelming amount of greetings he receives when he walks into a room. I haven't ever heard of a situation in which Luis has caused trouble or someone has had a dislike for him-which goes to show how incredibly likable he is. One of my favorite traits about Luis is that he enjoys bringing people together. Luis can largely take credit for the mending of the friend group that we have now. Luis wants to ensure that everyone around him is being included and having a good time, to the point where he places others happiness above his own. This in itself speaks to the quality of his character. Luis has a way of making people feel welcomed and he does so by using words of affirmation to build his friends up so that they have confidence and self-appreciation. Luis makes it so incredibly easy to want to celebrate him. Congratulations on being ambassador of the week, Luis, you deserve it very much!
Jenah!!
The next ambassador of the week is Jenah! Jenah and I first became close during the first semester when we had welcome desk shifts that backed up to one another. Jenah is incredibly hardworking as she has more than one job and makes time for both! Jenah and I see each other quite frequently as we are two of the ambassadors that work together on Fridays for the campus tours. I love having this time to catch up with Jenah because she truly makes interactions with her feel like an interaction between friends that have known each other for way longer than one academic year. I remember when Jenah and I were student orientation leaders and we worked my first orientation together. I was out of town for the first few weeks of the position, so when I came back and everyone had already had a couple of orientations under their belt, I was incredibly nervous. Jenah made me feel extremely comfortable and let me know I could lean on her for knowledge and support in general. Afterwards she privately messaged me and let me know that I did a good job on the orientation. I cannot thank her enough for how supported she made me feel in that moment. Congratulations on being the ambassador of the week, Jenah and happy belated birthday!
Kayli!!
The next ambassador of the week is Kayli! One of my first memories of Kayli is when she coordinated an in person meeting for all of the Student Orientation Leaders. She helped us all meet in person for the first time. We shared food, played games and got to know each other pasts the screens we were working off of. I give a great deal of credit to Kayli for the friendships I have formed through these programs, as I wouldn't have bonded with my peers as seamlessly if I hadn't had the chance to connect with them in person. Kayli has showed that she is extremely dedicated to the many facets in her life. While she is busy with her academic achievement she is still committed to fulfilling her obligations within the ambassadorship and her Student Orientation Coordinator position-which speaking of, Congratulations Kayli. Kayli and I have only gotten closer this year and I know that I can trust her exponentially! Thank you for being such a great friend, Kayli, and congratulations on being the ambassador of the week.
